Today is Remembrance Sunday. Dad makes a short speech; ‘Well, I think the most important things for the likes of David Cameron and co. to remember is that it must never happen again.’ During the two minutes silence, my brother’s voice can be hear upstairs conversing excitedly with randomers over Skype. My brother is the kind of kid that wears school shoes on a weekend, carries blu-tac with him wherever he goes and has a talent for not looking at you when he’s talking to you.
The list of the day is things that I consider amusing:
- Saying the word ‘murder’ in a West Country accent.
- Browsing the Christmas catalogues to see what the youth of today like to play with. The weirdest thing I’ve found in Argos this year has been a doll with the description ‘Ultimate Tom £24.99’.
- Noting the useless professions of people interviewed on television. (so far: Dolphin
